Delta Environmental & Educational Foundation was founded in 2002 to facilitate environmental protection and sustainable development through projects, international cooperation and communication, while nurture relevant talents and researches. To combat climate change, the foundation has developed climate mitigation and adaptation works in decades.
Over half of coral reef cover across the world has been lost, and a further 70–90% of coral reefs are projected to decline at 1.5°C. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), restoration efforts and management approaches available for coral reefs, especially for the heat-resistant populations, are effective to sustain some coral ecosystems beyond 1.5°C of warming. However, actions must be taken from now on.
