As global warming drives unprecedented extreme weather, the need for systemic climate resilience and dedicated talent has never been more urgent. The Chevening Delta Climate Scholarship, jointly established by the Delta Foundation and the British Office Taipei in 2008, is now open for applications for the 2027/28 academic year. Interested applicants may apply online by October 6, 2026. (Application link: https://www.chevening.org/scholarship/taiwan/)
The scholarship offers full tuition funding for a one-year master’s program in the UK to 1–2 young leaders from Taiwan who are committed to environmental protection, climate action, and sustainable development. Since its launch, the program has supported over 30 students in pursuing graduate studies in the UK, with many alumni continuing to advance environmental sustainability across the public, private, academic, and nonprofit sectors in Taiwan.
Applicants must have at least two years of work experience. There are no restrictions on the choice of university or field of study, but recipients are expected to apply their expertise to environmental and sustainability issues upon returning to Taiwan.
For details and to apply, please visit the Chevening Taiwan website and submit all required documents by October 6, 2026.
More information is available on the Delta Foundation website under the Chevening Delta Climate Scholarship section.
